Nurses are called upon to make critical decisions, create and implement care and treatment plans, master state-of-the-art technology, and communicate as advocates and teachers to other health care professionals, patients, and the public.
Marywood prepares you to meet these challenges and more from day one with our Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
Students in the nursing program at Marywood benefit from Marywood’s commitment to innovative technology in our Center for Natural and Health Sciences, like our anatomage table that provides a firsthand 3D experience, virtually, from dissection to simulation. From Day One, our simulation lab gives students the opportunity to learn and practice nursing skills that they will put into action when caring for our community.
The Scranton-Wilkes Barre region presents opportunities for students to apply the nursing skills and knowledge gained at Marywood University, getting necessary experience in clinical-based settings, through our partnerships with Geisinger Community Medical Center, Moses Taylor, Regional Hospital, and Pocono Medical Center.
“I chose to study nursing at Marywood, because I liked the idea of having a small class. I went to a small high school and had a good relationship with all of my teachers, and I find it easier to learn when you have that good relationship. I think Marywood is doing a great job in preparing me for my future nursing career.” Hunter Vaughn ’21, B.S. Nursing
