24 HOURS, A LIFETIME OF IMPACT
Giving Day is a 24-hour ‘Day of Giving’ campaign. This event unites alumni, parents, students, faculty, and staff from all over the world. Our collective efforts during these 24 hours create a lifetime of impact!
Giving Day Challenge Gifts
Giving Day Challenge Gifts can be rolled out throughout the day to inspire others to get engaged and give.
Challenges could include:
| Setting a challenge goal: | “If we reach 50 donors, I will donate $5,000” |
| Making a class challenge: | “If 25 alumni from the class of 1970 donate, I will donate an additional $1,000” |
| Making a social challenge: | “I will make a gift of $1,000 to the fund choice of the Giving Day Volunteer with the most Facebook shares.” |
We are looking for Pacers willing to encourage others to participate in Giving Day 2025 with their challenge gifts! If you would like to offer a special Giving Day Challenge Gift, please contact the Office of University Advancement at development@marywood.edu

Giving Day Volunteers
As a Giving Day Volunteer, you can inspire others to show the impact of our Pacer Pride by:
- Inviting others to join you in making a lifetime of impact for current Pacers.
- Sharing your Pacer Pride on social media throughout the day (space out your posts to maximize reach).
- Doing some personal outreach to others – use tools such as email, text, video, etc.
